TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Decree Law that allows obtaining Portuguese Nationality by Sephardic Ancestry is based on the following premises:
The applicant is of legal age (OVER 18 YEARS OLD)
The applicant has not been convicted of criminal proceedings nor is it required by law. He has no criminal record
The applicant has the certificate of the Israelite Community of Lisbon that certifies him as a descendant of a Sephardic Jew accepted by said Community
The applicant does not need to be Jewish or profess that religion at present
This proposal is based on Decree Law No. 30-A/2015 of Portugal.
Any change in the terms of said rule will in no way be the responsibility of G&G Consultores, since they depend entirely on the internal regulation of Portugal.
Similarly, the costs for donation payments to the Jewish community and the fee for the registry office of the Portuguese government are not reimbursed in any case by said entities. Additionally, if there is an adjustment of the value of the aforementioned emoluments, or addition of costs by the same entities, they will be borne by the client.
G&G Consultores cannot guarantee the issuance of the Sephardic Certificate by the Jewish Community of Lisbon, nor the issuance of the Passport by the Portuguese Ministry of Justice. These decisions depend entirely on said entities, in such a way that the service provided by G&G Consultores is understood as a process service, not a result, strictly adhering to the law and procedures.
The process of obtaining Portuguese Nationality by Sephardic Ancestry can take around 24 months to complete. However, the final and real term of the process depends entirely on the institutions such as the Jewish Community of Lisbon and the Ministry of Justice, for which it is understood that if the process lasts longer than the one stated, this will not mean non-compliance on the part of G&G Consultants.
